Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is the highest summit of the
southern Front Range of the Rockies. 

 Spent the day driving up Pikes Peak today. The cost was $15 per person. The view from the summit is awesome. Enjoy these pictures from the day.

At the top of the summit there is a gift shop and snack bar.

At an elevation over 14,000 feet, you can see for miles.

The view is incredible and you can literally
lose your breath from all the walking.

 Pulled over on our way down and took the last pictures. You will see people hiking and biking the mountain. You have to be in good shape for that.

About a third of the way down, the rangers make all drivers stop so they can check the brakes to ensure they are not too hot. We passed the check and made our way to the bottom of the mountain.
