I love grocery shopping at my local commissary. I find beauty in the organizational aspects of the store. But, like you, I hate it if I don't have my list
I guess if you have a nice place to shop that helps to make it a better experience. Oh, and don't shop when you're hungry.
I generally don't shop when hungry but on many occasions I've drank warm juice or soda in the parking lot because I was thirsty.
